Three dozen recently completed homes across New South Wales will advance to the next round of judging in the Australian Institute of Architects’ 2024 NSW Architecture Awards.
The 36 shortlisted houses include a prefabricated modular home, “a love letter to Victorian terraces,” a grand country homestead with an enviable art collection, an inner-city house “that renovated the whole street,” and a Passive House on tiny site that allows independent living for an extended family of six.
Architects of 67 entries presented to the awards juries over two days in February. The juries will visit the shortlisted projects in April, before announcing the winners at a ceremony on 28 June.
