Parlour announces new supporter program

A new supporter program, the Parlour Collective, will create long-term funding security for the gender equity organization and professional opportunities for its supporters.

Celebrating its 1oth year in 2022, Parlour promotes gender equity in architecture and across built environment professions. The Parlour Collective will enable those who join it to increase and share knowledge, demonstrate individual and institutional values, benefit from peer support, research and take action.

“The Collective reinforces our capacity to bring many voices together, to advocate for all and to catalyse further positive change,” the Parlour website said.

Perks of supporting the Collective include access to Parlour’s back catalogue (including CPD events), post permission for the Parlour noticeboard, and admission to exclusive workshops and trainings for architects and other built environment professionals.

Parlour “Accomplic”e Saneia Norton said she was grateful for Parlour’s well-received lockdown presence, which the Collective is intended to carry forward as re-opening continues.

“Over the last two years I’ve appreciated Parlour’s positive energy, fierce integrity and opportunities to connect,” Norton said.

The organisation plans to use the Collective funding for activities such as professional mentoring, roundtables and data analyses. A full list of planned areas of investment can be viewed here.
