Carbon neutral program for plasterboard and metal

Siniat’s Opt2Act opt-in carbon neutral program allows customers to reduce the carbon footprint of their projects. The program is available on a range of plasterboard and metal products and the opted-in products are supplied carbon neutral, certified by Climate Active.

Siniat has invested in energy-efficient strategies and other measures to reduce its carbon emissions during the manufacturing process. Emissions that cannot be further eliminated are offset by investing in quality carbon credits, reducing the carbon emissions to zero.

All specifiers need to do to make use of the program is to specify Siniat carbon neutral products at the early design stage. Once the products are supplied to site, Siniat will work with the builders and contractors to determine the quantity of products and calculate the offsets.

Products purchased under the program will meet the requirements of the ratings tools from the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), under the “Positive” Category for reduction in embodied carbon.

Siniat's carbon neutral products can help customers to achieve Green Star tatings for their project, as the Climate Active Certification is recognised as a pathway to achieve this reduction in upfront carbon.
