ExLaB: Experimental Timber Furniture 19

ExLaB will be hosting a series of two exhibitions, each over a weekend at the end of February 2020, showing the experimental furniture pieces created by graduate students during ExLaB subjects in 2019 at the Melbourne School of Design. Each student is challenged to design a piece of furniture using an experimental design process that is driven be material qualities and processes of making. This exhaustive process results in innovative furniture that pushes the boundaries of beauty, function, sustainability and innovation.

This show will exhibit projects prototypes and experiments produced solely using one material, timber.
